Personal Experience

Lauren Thompson is an Associate Attorney at Mokolo Law Firm in Houston, Texas. Ms. Thompson has been licensed in Texas since the Spring of 2021 and practices in the area of family law. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC majoring in Political Science with a double minor in Legal Studies and Human Resource Management. In 2020, Ms. Thompson earned her Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University School of Law, graduating cum laude. While in law school, Ms. Thompson served as a Student Attorney in the Family Law Clinic. As a law student, Ms. Thompson interned with various federal agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina.  

Ms. Thompson  is a native of Aiken, South Carolina, but has chosen to call Houston home. As a young girl, she dreamed of becoming an attorney and has been blessed to see her dreams come to fruition. North Carolina Central University School of Law’s motto is “Truth and Service”  and Ms. Thompson promises to always be truthful with her clients and guarantees to provide attentive service.  Although Ms. Thompson is passionate about her legal career, she also embraces life outside of the courtroom. Ms. Thompson enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and listening to podcasts.
